It's a girl...

We are proud to introduce our daughter...

Dong Fang Xia Qing AKA Ella McFatridge



She was born on June 21, 2009 and currently resides in the Social Welfare Institute in the Jiangxi Province.

Here's what we know...
- she's a moderate sleeper
- she can hold her head up
- she rolls over
- she sits up
- she can visually follow things
- she knows her name
- she can point to her eyes, ears, nose and mouth
- she's active
- she likes music and toys
- she has long hair (just past the ears)
- she weights 6.7 kilograms (15 lbs)
- she's 68 cm in height (27")
- her intake day (day she went into the orphanage) was 6/22/09
- Xia means small; Qing means green; Dong means East

We should receive photos any time now... but wanted to post as much information as possible.

Here's to our little daughter...

Congratulations on your Jiangxi referral!! When you are ready to get her newspaper finding ad (which has a great picture of her months younger than her referral photos!) come visit us. We have a lot of information about Jiangxi, etc.

Hi congratulations,
Just a short comment from Holland. We just adopted ou twin-daughters. Both were named Xia (surname) and it meant 'Summer'. I think the Chinese word for small is 'Xiao'. Thought I let you know.
